About The author

Anna L. Alleyson is a pseudonym to protect the author's daughter! Native Californian that moved to Manhattan to chase her dreams, without knowing a soul or having a job or apartment. After a rewarding career, Ms. Alleyson again entered unknown territory, leaving the Corporate world behind to focus on raising her daughter single-handedly, involving entrepreneurial ventures and farm-life.

With her daughter graduating soon from a well-regarded East Coast university with a solid career lined up, it was time to put thoughts to paper on what worked for their remarkable and loving journey -- and passionate to share with others.

Ms. Alleyson views parenting as a privilege, a gift, a blessing. She had an epiphany on a cross-country flight watching "Something's Gotta Give" while her four-year-old daughter slept -- that she had had a selfish life before her daughter was born, was in the midst of a selfless chapter while raising her daughter, and would once again have a selfish time once her daughter was established and on her own.

And so, that is where we are, and what Ms. Alleyson wants to share with you.

After years of taking care of a farm and 20 animals with her daughter, Ms. Alleyson is currently living on the East Coast, with nary a pet rock in sight!
